Noida International Airport, located in Jewar, is in its final phase of construction and gearing up for its grand opening. The airport is all set to redefine the travel experience by introducing Digi Yatra, a completely digital system where facial recognition will handle everything — from entry to boarding.
Seamless Travel Experience
Flying from Jewar Airport will soon become smoother and faster than ever before. Passengers will no longer need to show boarding passes multiple times or stand in long queues for ID checks. With Digi Yatra, your face will act as your digital entry pass, ensuring a paperless and contactless journey.
Hi-Tech and World-Class Design
The upcoming Noida International Airport is not just an architectural marvel but a symbol of modern technology. Built with a Digital-First approach, the airport promises a world-class experience for passengers. Swiss technology is being used to power its operations, ensuring speed, convenience, and reliability at every step.
How Digi Yatra Works
Using Digi Yatra is simple and hassle-free.
- Download the Digi Yatra app.
- Register with your Aadhaar card and flight booking details.
- Once you reach the airport, facial recognition systems will verify your identity automatically.
From check-in and security clearance to boarding the aircraft, everything will be automated and seamless, eliminating the need for repeated document checks.
Currently, Digi Yatra is active at major airports like Delhi, Bengaluru, Varanasi, Ranchi, Patna, and Mumbai. However, Noida Airport will be the first in India to make this technology the foundation of its entire operation.
Smart Features for Maximum Convenience
Noida Airport is going beyond facial recognition. It will include self-bag drop counters and self-boarding gates, reducing waiting times and ensuring faster processing for passengers. Ten aerobridges have already been constructed to connect passengers directly from the terminal to aircraft, preventing congestion even during peak hours.
Smart Cargo and Airport Operations
The digital transformation at Noida Airport extends to cargo and logistics as well. Smart systems will streamline cargo handling, airport management, and overall operations — placing India among the few countries offering a fully digital airport experience.
Focus on Safety and Cleanliness
Ahead of its launch, special attention is being given to cleanliness, passenger comfort, and overall beautification of the airport. Security arrangements are being strengthened with the construction of two new police stations within the airport area. Additionally, road connectivity and infrastructure work are nearing completion to ensure easy and hassle-free access for travelers.
