The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has once again made headlines — this time in Canada. The gang has claimed responsibility for killing an Indian-origin industrialist in Abbotsford, British Columbia, and firing bullets at the home of a Punjabi singer, creating fear among the Indian community there.
These incidents came just a day after police in Rajasthan arrested Jagdeep Singh alias Jagga, an active member of the Bishnoi gang, in the United States.
Gang Claims Responsibility for Killing Industrialist
In a shocking turn of events, Bishnoi gang member Goldy Dhillon posted on social media that the group was behind the murder of 68-year-old industrialist Darshan Singh Sahasi.
According to Dhillon, Sahasi was involved in a major drug business and had allegedly demanded money from the gang. When he refused to pay, the gang decided to eliminate him.
Reports say Sahasi was shot dead outside his house in Abbotsford on Monday morning. Early investigations suggest the attacker was waiting for him near his car.
As soon as Sahasi entered his vehicle, the shooter opened fire and fled the scene.
Police and emergency teams arrived quickly and tried to save Sahasi, but he succumbed to his injuries. Nearby schools were immediately placed under lockdown for safety, though no students were harmed.
Who Was Darshan Singh Sahasi?
Sahasi was a respected businessman and president of Canam International, a well-known textile recycling company in Canada.
He had moved to Canada in 1991 and initially worked in small jobs before investing in a struggling textile business, which he later turned into a successful global enterprise.
Known for his charitable work and community service, Sahasi’s death has left the Punjabi community in Abbotsford deeply shocked and saddened. Community leaders have demanded strict police action to ensure the safety of Indian immigrants in Canada.
Gunfire at Punjabi Singer’s House
In another related incident, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang fired bullets outside the home of Punjabi singer Channi Nattan.
Gang member Goldy Dhillon claimed on social media that the firing took place because Nattan was getting close to another singer, Sardar Khera.
Dhillon clarified that the gang had no personal rivalry with Nattan but issued a warning — any artist who collaborates with Khera will be responsible for the consequences.

The gang is already infamous for its involvement in several high-profile cases, including the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, threats to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, and alleged connections with pro-Khalistan groups.
Growing Concerns Among Indian Community in Canada
The recent violent acts by the Bishnoi gang have sparked fear and concern among Indians living in Canada. Community organizations are calling for tighter security and stronger action against organized crime groups operating in the country.
These back-to-back incidents serve as a grim reminder of how the Bishnoi gang’s network has extended far beyond India, posing a growing threat to global safety and peace.
